YOUTH MENTORING PROGRAMMES

nature based youth mentoring

Nature-based youth mentoring is an approach that incorporates nature, nature awareness and the natural environment with outdoor activities in the experiential and learning process. This form of mentoring recognises the positive impact that nature can have on personal development, well-being and learning. There are many notable benefits for young people.

BUSHCRAFT youth programmes IN DEVON

Devon, located in the south west of England, offers a diverse landscape that includes moors, forests, and coastal areas, making it an excellent location for bushcraft and outdoor enthusiasts. WildWise is based in Dartington near Totnes and has for many years taken advantage of the beauty, diversity and wide ranging natural resources available in this varied terrain to support a curricula teaching wilderness survival skills, outdoor cooking, shelter building, navigation, and other essential skills for thriving in the wild.

youth mentoring programmes offered by wildwise

Under our non for profit community organisation, WildWise Enterprises CiC, we offer a range of specially developed youth mentoring programmes. These are designed to support young people to thrive amongst the complexity of the modern world. Some are open to public booking; others are grant funded bespoke programmes tailored for designated client groups.  All aim to impart the wellbeing benefits of nature connection to young people; provide support at what is widely considered to be a most challenging period of development and transition, and finally to spark a life long interest in the natural world.
