3-5 June 2022
4pm start / 4pm finish
Dartmoor
Cost: £175 p.p. teenagers (14+ yrs)
An indigenous adventure
As seen on BBCTV's 'Heaven & Earth' this is WildWise’s self-sufficient journey into the wild, on beautiful Dartmoor. Navigation, trekking, bushcraft, and storytelling all feature in a wonderful and adventurous exploration of Dartmoor’s rugged terrain.
Dartmoor is a wild landscape, bursting with life and vitality, its beauty unspoiled and waters unpolluted. It is the perfect backdrop to explore self-reliance, both in nature and in ourselves. Carrying everything we need, we will journey several miles each day. The pace is relaxed, and there is plenty of time to stop and rest, swim and eat delicious food. We will set up camp each evening and enjoy a communal meal and sometimes a campfire.
This is not just a camping trip! This is an exciting adventure in a wild location with an opportunity to learn some backcountry outdoor skills from experienced outdoorsmen, to help make life around camp even more comfortable. These may include fire-making, cordage, shelter-building, campcraft and some wild food foraging.
NB This event is aimed at teenagers (14+ years).
