COASTAL WALKABOUT 2022

“Must we always teach our children with books? Let them look at the mountains and the stars up above. Let them look at the beauty of the waters and the trees and flowers on earth. They will then begin to think, and to think is the beginning of a real education”

Overview

The wild and spectacular coastline of the South Devon Coastpath is the setting for a distinctly Aboriginal adventure – foraging, fishing and wild camping.

Spend two days exploring the seashore, learning about the edible and delicious food available on the coast and the abundance of wildlife that make these rugged cliffs, beaches and beautiful bays their homes.

The idea is for you to gain some proficiency in catching and cooking fish, to develop some confidence around what you can eat from the seashore, and to discover different methods of preparing and cooking a range of seafood’s and coastal plants.

This walk will take place on the beautiful South Devon Coastpath near East Prawle, Kingsbridge

This event is aimed at adults and older children.
