A special invitation to bring both the wild child (or wild children) that you parent/care for, and the wild child that lives inside you. Both need a quality of attention and this weekend, boy, are they are going to get it!

The natural world issues endless invitations to jump into wild experiences, and under the skilled and experienced guidance of our team we’ll be offering a menu of immersive activity that will bring your connection to the natural world to a whole new level.

This weekend is also about connection to each other and to the natural world. We’ll build a camp community, cook over the fire and learn some amazing new things. Most of all we’ll form new friendships and spend meaningful ‘adult and child time’ out in a beautiful wildwood setting.

This is a family friendly event. It includes bushcraft and survival skills activities, outdoor games & storytelling. We welcome children of all ages to the camp however be aware that most of the skills activities will primarily be aimed at children of 6+ years. Younger children may still welcome to join in with parental supervision depending on the activity. We will adapt the programme where it is practical and safe to do so to make it as inclusive as possible.

What’s included:  An interesting and varied activity programme; any fieldcraft equipment; evening meals and breakfasts; hot/cold refreshments.

What to bring: Tent and camping/sleeping gear; food for 2 x lunches plus snacks.

The event takes place at our wild meadow riverside site near Newbridge on Dartmoor. Being in a beautiful wild place, and off grid, on Dartmoor means there is no permanent infrastructure, electricity or running water. Structures are erected for the event and facilities are relatively basic. We provide shelter, kitchen, activity & toilet tents plus cold and hot water for drinking and washing.  There are also permanent toilet facilities a few minutes away at Newbridge car park.

Cost: £260 per adult – includes up to 2 children under 16 free – extra child £45

“Must we always teach our children with books? Let them look at the mountains and the stars up above. Let them look at the beauty of the waters and the trees and flowers on earth. They will then begin to think, and to think is the beginning of a real education”
– David Polis
