The situation is ever-changing and we would like to assure all of our customers that we are doing all we can to continue to provide the best service possible to you and we are continually keeping abreast of the developments from the Government and Public Health England, following their advice and guidelines.
The government recently announced a relaxing of some social distancing restrictions in certain circumstances from July 4. Whilst one of our largest camps, our WildWise Family Camp, now cannot run due to numbers exceeding the stated limit, we are pleased to confirm that many of our other events and camps can go ahead subject to group size being appropriately managed and social distancing and hygiene protocols being adhered to.

Event management in times of Covid-19
WildWise will operate strict hygiene protocols to maintain toilet and kitchen areas, including extra hand-washing stations and access to hot water for sanitation. Staff will invigilate around social distancing issues and are aiming to strike the right balance between safety and practicalities. The outdoor environment is deemed to be much healthier than indoors, and we believe the risk to be very low for our staff and participants.
That said, WildWise leaders will be asking participants to adhere to the latest social distancing guidelines (e.g. to keep a 2m distance from each other) and to take hygiene precautions such as regularly washing hands for at least 20 seconds; bringing and regularly using hand sanitiser; using a tissue when sneezing and disposing of it safely; coughing into the crook of your elbow etc
To minimise the risk of cross contamination we will also be asking participants not to share/borrow our or each other’s kit. We recommend instead that participants bring/use their own camping kit; accessories; plate, bowl, cup & cutlery etc
In short we will be following the government guidelines to do our best to keep everyone safe. We will also be asking participants to do their bit by co-operating with the above and by taking responsibility for their own health and well-being.
