Update 15/01/21

It is very sad that the pandemic continues and we once again find ourselves in lockdown. We hope you are managing to stay well.

Of course the situation is ever-changing and with vaccines in the pipeline we are hopeful that the situation will improve over coming months such that we can soon get outdoors to enjoy all that nature has to offer.

We have published our 2021 public events calendar here but understand that adjustments including date changes may be required. Please check back regularly to view any changes.

We would like to assure all of our customers that we are doing all we can to continue to provide the best service possible to you and we will continue to keep abreast of updates from the Government and Public Health England, following their advice and guidelines.

Once there is some easing of restrictions we will be able to run some of our events subject to group size being appropriately managed and social distancing and hygiene protocols being adhered to (see below).

Event management in times of Covid-19

WildWise will operate strict hygiene protocols to maintain toilet and kitchen areas, including extra hand-washing stations and access to hot water for sanitation. Staff will invigilate around social distancing issues and are aiming to strike the right balance between safety and practicalities. The outdoor environment is deemed to be much healthier than indoors, and we believe the risk to be very low for our staff and participants.

WildWise leaders will be asking participants to adhere to the latest social distancing guidelines  and to take hygiene precautions such as regularly washing hands for at least 20 seconds; bringing and regularly using hand sanitiser; using a tissue when sneezing and disposing of it safely; coughing into the crook of your elbow etc

To minimise the risk of cross contamination we will also be asking participants not to share/borrow our or each other’s kit. We recommend instead that participants bring/use their own camping kit; accessories; plate, bowl, cup & cutlery etc

In short we will be following the government guidelines to do our best to keep everyone safe. We will also be asking participants to do their bit by co-operating with the above and by taking responsibility for their own health and well-being.

Please get in touch by email if you have any questions or would like further detail.
