This 2 day course is suitable for those working in (or planning to work in) Environmental Education such as Forest School Teachers, Outdoor Activity Instructors (as a requirement for keeping ML, SPA and BCU qualifications in date) etc and those interested in being able to respond to those ill or injured in a potentially remote situation.

Note: The course takes place at a private venue on Dartmoor which is located to the west of Buckfast. Full joining instructions will be issued on booking. From where you park at the main house there is some walking on uneven terrain to the building where the training takes place so this may not be easily accessible for those with mobility issues. COURSE LEADER: Hugh Bourne
Hugh Bourne is an experienced & qualified Outdoor First Aid Trainer with MSc in Wildlife Management, an Advanced Certificate in Deer Management, a PGCE, First Aid Trainer in Outdoor, Forest School and Paediatric as well as FAW and EFAW courses
Timings to be confirmed but typically 9am to 5.30pm. There is a lot to cover in the 2 days so we do ask participants to arrive in good time for a prompt start.
The course will take place outdoors (as well as indoors) so please dress for all weathers, ideally wear layers, sturdy footwear and bring waterproof outers.
