A mischievous weekend to get up to all the naughty things you are not allowed to do at home!
Get dirty, mess about with fires, use sharp tools, sleep outdoors, eat weird things and have some wicked fun!
The syllabus this weekend sets the participants up with enjoyable, achievable tasks in a convivial camp atmosphere. Expect to learn some amazing new things, have a good craic around the campfire, make new friendships and spend meaningful ‘father & son’ time (or uncle/nephew etc), out in a beautiful wildwood setting. There will also be time for some potent stories around the campfire, pertinent to the father/son relationship.
Based on a highly successful blend of nature awareness and bushcraft, this course makes the most of our interest and curiosity for the natural world. The aim is to give you new skills, to deepen your relationship to nature and breed a new confidence to continue to discover it for yourselves. Most of all, this programme aims to deliver a hugely enjoyable experience to all.
"Thanks for the Dangerous Weekend for Boys experience! In a word: terrific! Chris was the perfect host, always enthusiastic, incredibly personable - a hit with the young kids and adult kids alike - and the whole team was equally fantastic. This is clearly not "just a job" for them, their passion shone throughout the three days".
Jason Wallace, DWB 2019
"Steve and Thomas had a fabulous time! When I collected them, they had so many stories to tell me about - they lasted for days." Jo Greene, DWB
"Thank you team at Wildwise for putting on such an excellent weekend. I was particularly impressed with Chris's skills with the young boys: always trying to meet their requests, always listening and guiding them carefully, and especially the care in which he was able to correct problems that needed to be addressed without turning off the child. This is a rare skill in my view." Jonathan Powell, DWB
