cut, carve & whittle 2018
July 1 2018
£35 adults; £5 kids (<16 yrs)
10am - 4pm
There's nothing like whiling away the hours whittling on some wood. But there's a lot to learn if you've not done much before and so allow WildWise to escort you into the forest to harvest your materials, teach you coppicing skills, learn different cutting and carving techniques and to introduce you to the safe and effective use of cutting tools, including the fixed blade sheath knife, the folding saw, and the bow saw and their various applications in forest skills.
There are various items to make and take home, but most of all this course teaches a basic proficiency, an understanding of tool use, and the confidence to continue in your home environment.
All equipment provided, but please bring along any tools you have at home if you prefer to use them.
